It’s been exactly a year now that Australian mortgage holders have been enjoying the lowest interest rates in history, with the Reserve Bank this week once again opting to keep the official cash rate at 1.5%. The last time the Reserve moved on rates was in August 2016.
Ten years ago, the Board voted to raise the cash rate up 25 basis points to 6.0%, a far cry from the 14% borne by borrowers in August 1990! Imagine having to find that each month….

Australians have been asked to take shorter showers for years now, and with around 100,000L of water used per person per year, it seems a reasonable request. Yet the elating experience of showering can often cause us to linger in the warmth a little longer than we should. If you're standing in the spotlight of guilt right now, there's an innovative new shower head we think you'll be interested in.
Founded in France and brought to the world through the crowdsourcing platform Indiegogo, Cirrus is a shower head that lives up to its namesake with water-atomising CloudMaker technology that turns your shower into a pressurized mist, enveloping your entire body in a cocoon of warmth. By increasing its surface area 10 times, Cirrus claims to clean you faster and more efficiently, while inbuilt NanoFilters remove impurities, chemicals and balance pH levels. Further still, it reduces water usage by 75 per cent, helping pay for itself quickly in utility savings and reducing your households environmental impact.
Have you ever seen a battle-axe block advertised in property listings and wondered whether it’s for you?
So-called because its shape is similar to an axe handle and blade, the battle-axe block is a quite-often large area of land behind another one, with a long driveway for access. It’s normally the result of a sub-division of an existing block. There are definite pros (such as quiet, privacy and space for kids to play) and some cons – be very clear on whether the driveway is included in the title or you simply have ‘right of way’.

The results were phenomenal - sold in just 3 days after one open house and thousands of online views. Brad and his team greatly exceeded my expectations with the price they achieved. Pancake recipe: the Nutella pancake stack
Ingredients
200g self-raising flour
2 tbsp castor sugar
2 eggs, beaten
150ml milk
pinch of salt
2 tbsp melted butter
extra butter for the pan
150g Nutella
250ml whipping cream
1 tbsp icing sugar
1 cup berries, such aseg halved strawberries
2 tbsp toasted hazelnuts, crushed
Icing sugar for dusting
Method
1. Blend the flour, sugar, eggs, milk, salt and 1 tbsp melted butter in a food processor for 30 seconds until smooth. Refrigerate for 1 hour, or until required.
2. Brush a frying pan with melted butter, then add batter by the tablespoonful, three or four at a time. Cook over medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes or until bubbles appear on the surface and base is golden.
3. Flip over and cook other side briefly, then remove and spread with Nutella while still hot. Repeat until you have 12 pancakes.
4. Beat the cream and icing sugar until thick. To assemble, top one pancake with a little whipped cream, place a second pancake on top and lightly press, then add more cream and the final pancake.
To serve: Top with a little cream, berries and crushed hazelnuts. Dust with icing sugar and serve.

WHY WE CREATED A REAL TEAM
The reasons
behind our vision!
It has always been a long term goal for Brad Sissons to
create a truly unique selling or buying experience. After spending years training and building
sales offices, Brad started to see a very common re-occurrence – this was that
you can never find the “Perfect Sales Person” as we all have our strengths and
weaknesses. To fulfill his vision, which
is to offer the buying and selling markets in Queensland a truly enjoyable real
estate experience. This has been created
by focusing on SERVICE and walking
both buyers and sellers through what is normally a stressful time.
By finding the right people and joining them together,
which is not just a quick and easy process, we were able to harness a set of
core skills, market knowledge, customer service, experience & marketing
ability.
The end result was The Brad Sissons Team!
We truly believe we offer what many agents say they offer
BUT our point of difference is that we deliver on what we say. By working longer, harder but more
importantly smarter than the majority of the industry, we are able to offer our
clients a happy and enjoyable buying or selling experience.
Our main priority is always in securing our sellers the
highest and strongest price in any market condition and for any type of
property, whether you have a $250,000 unit or a $5,000,000 water front home, it
does not matter, everyone deserves to have a skilled selling agent who is out
there working for them! The seller!
With the ability to bring well over 10 years’ experience
working in the industry and selling any type of real estate (land, houses,
units, town houses, shops, commercial, off the plan and development sites) all
over the Greater Brisbane Region, you can rest assured that you will be in very
good hands!
Do you know what your home or investment property is worth?
If you or someone you know is thinking about buying or selling, my team and I would love to be of service, simply call 0434 501 339 or email brad@coronis.com.au and we will take care of the rest!
