If you’re thinking of putting your home on the market, now looks like a very good time to do it, with new research showing consumer sentiment is at a four-year high.
The ANZ-Roy Morgan Australian Consumer Confidence continued its upward trend this week, climbing 1.2 per cent to 123.5, the highest point since October 2013.
Given our glorious beaches, wide-open spaces, easy-going lifestyle and a general lack of strife and turmoil, it’s nice to know Australia sits within the top ten happiest countries in the world.
Interestingly, four of the top spots in the United Nations World Happiness Report 2017 were taken by Nordic countries, with Norway as happiest, followed by Denmark in second place, Iceland in third and Finland sitting close behind in fifth. The US slid to 14th, due to ‘a sense of reduced personal freedom and perceived increase in corruption’.
155 countries were rated in the report, which considered factors such as equality, GDP per capita, life expectancy, social support, and freedom to make life choices.
