A Los Angeles-based company is using 3D-printer technology to build tiny homes entirely from recycled plastic.
Every 11 square metre unit uses the equivalent of 100,000 recycled plastic bottles combined with fibreglass and other additives to create a durable construction material. The homes are then treated with a fire protectant and an ultraviolet light stabiliser to make them extra efficient.
