If you are planning on buying a new refrigerator, remember to take into consideration the space it will fit in. It’s one thing to decide the number, depth and width of the shelves, or the size of the main compartment compared with freezer space, but will you be able to easily open the door?
Ideally, the fridge door should open wider than 90o to allow the fruit and vegetable drawers to slide out, so plan several centimetres of clearance between the hinge sides of the door and the wall. Consider also, whether a left or right opening door might better suit the space.
