Smart play, Lego

For the builders among us who have time to play, Lego has launched Smart Play, a standard Lego brick with a tiny computer embedded inside.

Critically, the bricks need no internet connectivity, artificial intelligence or cameras, but rather offer effects: lightsabers will hum, engines roar, and spacecraft will emit blaster fire.
