Do you ever feel that nothing really interesting has been happening in your life for a while? Everything is fine, but somehow you are always meeting the same people, eating at the same cafes or restaurants, and work, well, it’s just how it has always been…
According to Feng Shui consultant Dr Ana Brandao of Living in Harmony Classical Feng Shui, your home represents your life, so if you feel ready for a change, want to meet new people or just feel more alive, maybe it’s time to make some changes around your home.
“The living room is always a great place to start”, Brandao says.
“Just by moving furniture around you can get rid of stagnant energies that are locked into that area and bring some fresh energy into your relationships.”
Brandao suggests arranging the furniture in a ‘friendly’ way, such as placing the main lounge against a solid wall and two other seats that can ‘converse’ with it, semi-circle style.
Then push the TV to the corner, so it is no longer the centre of attention.
To finish the effect, add a few brightly-coloured cushions and some plants (peace lilies are lovely and easy to keep).
“Even small changes like these to your living room are able to support you in making new friends, freshening up your relationship with family and loved ones and feeling more energised”, Brandao concludes.
