World’s safest cities revealed

Two cities in Australia are considered among the safest in the world, a new report shows.

Copenhagen was named the world's safest city for the first time, scoring 82.4 points out of 100 on the Economist Intelligence Unit's Safe Cities annual Index (SCI), which ranks international destinations on digital, health, infrastructure, personal, and environmental security.

With 80.1 points, Sydney came fourth in the overall rankings, and topped the digital security category. Melbourne made eighth place with 78.6 points.
