Sustainable housing in a shell

Amidst heated debates over global warming and natural energy sources, designer Margot Krasojević has more than just the shell of a sustainable innovation in mind.

Currently a working concept, the Hydroelectric Tidal House would theoretically capture both tidal and solar energy from its position at the edge of the ocean.

Using an electromagnetic turbine system to generate energy, the house itself has the appearance of a space-age seashell. Based within an outer layer that’s fixed to the shore and lined with solar panels, the floating inner shell houses three alterable modules for living spaces.

This may be a little out of our depth right now, but we'd love to see it eventuate!
