Water everywhere, but not a drop to waste

Around the world, people are becoming increasingly more conscious of saving water. Many of us are taking steps at home to reduce our usage, but is there more we could be doing?

With the current drought in North America fast becoming the most expensive natural disaster in history, a new initiative is looking to create change one brick at a time.

Drop-A-Brick is an eco-friendly evolution of the old brick-in-the-toilet-tank trick. However unlike a real brick, this one won't damage your toilet. Weighing just over 200g dry, the rubber brick filled with hydro-gel soaks up water and expands to just under 2kg. Taking up valuable real estate in the tank, it reduces water usage by around 200L per week, per toilet.

The initiative is currently seeking crowd-funding here: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/drop-a-brick-in-your-toilet.
